Sort a Data Grid Using Columns
You can sort the rows in your data grid using the values in any column. The values are sorted alphabetically or numerically, depending on the type of values in the column.
To sort by column:
- Click the column heading.
If you click the column heading once, the rows are sorted in increasing alphabetical or numeric order. If you click the column heading again, the rows are sorted in decreasing alphabetical or numerical order.
Tip: If you sorted by a column, and no longer want to see this sorting, click another column by which to sort, or right-click the column heading and choose Clear Sorting.
Note: Not all data grids can be sorted by column values. For example, the Material classes and Qualities data grids cannot be grouped by column value. However, these data grids have arrow controls at the top of the data grid that you use to control the position of each row in the data grid.
